I have spent approximately $1,800 in the ***'s Sporting Goods Stores over the past few months. I realized I have virtually no points and so I went to the store in Cedar Hill, Texas.

The clerk said my name was mispelled and she could not correct it but I would be able to if I called the 1-80*-440-**** number. I did call and that did not work either. The ScoreCard Rewards sytem has not scored well with me. It is not so much the money as well as it is an ehics issue.

I also bought a pair of FootJoys in August and the right shoe has cracked so much that I will not wear them in public.

I have switched over to Golfsmith and they gave been exceptional. Goodbye ***'s.

Location: Midlothian, Texas

*** sporting goods SUCKS. Overpriced, under stocked , that points rewards BS is a joke!!!

Machele Imf

It's not a good idea to shop there, anyway after what they did a few short years ago---arbitrarily cancelling AR15 orders for people who counted on them. Gander Mountain is now gone, but there are many other sporting goods stores to buy from.

Guest

I know it can be fixed in the store I guess your cashier was lazy? And they can also change your address and phone number at store level if you have that information in the system!

Guest

You are 100% correct. ***'s Score Card is not customer friendly.

Their customer service people are under-trained, have no power, and could care less.

Prices at ***'s are inflated.

They have a great selection, but you need some kind of discount to get a reasonable price. They will slowly drown in their own arrogance.

Guest

in this email beginning it was ok. Scorecard program has become a disaster for them.

Almost "scam like." Many unhappy customers.

There are much betters options these days.

Guest

Sign up for the scorecard app on your phone. They can scan your phone at the register.

This way you don't have to wait on your certificate in the mail. I have received three 3 rewards so far.

My first was a $10 coupon in the mail (with no purchase limit), the second was a $20 Reward I used the App to redeem, and the third was a $10 reward redeemed from my phone. So run and tell that Home boy!!

Guest

*** reward card is a scam. Most reward cards are as the vast majority of incentive programs are about them having you think they are great...but *** program is so bad it actually works the opposite...to the point you hate them and the products they sell as well

Guest

I realize the original complaint is old. But it might help if the poster called the right number to reach the ScoreCard hotline.

1-80*-***-****. It's the department that handles your points and rewards.

If your address is wrong call that number and they'll fix it.

Please don't insult we, whom have gotten the runaround, myself since January of 2017. *** has opened 5 different ScoreCard numbers for me, even though I have my original card and have only used one email address and one phone number to identify myself. I have asked a number of times at the register to have them synced...cashiers are not able to do this.

I have made no less than 14 phone calls to EVERY *** ScoreCard/Customer Service, etc. number provided everywhere on their website and also provided me in-store. I have dealt with at least 20 (this is NO LIE, HONEY!) ScoreCard reps, including regular CSR's, Supervisors and Managers (MANY of which tell me they are from CORPORATE, (WHICH IS A CROCK OF SHXT, HONEY!), and I still can't get all the scorecards synced together. I've heard every line in the book..."Last Rep didn't know what she was doing","Last rep only completed some of the process and didn't finish, 'BUT I WILL'"..."'I'm with Corporate, so I know how to fix this problem'", and so on and so on and so on...Last call I made, I was told they were leaving 2 of my numbers open, because a new scorecard was sent to me, but they"'Didn't know which of the 2 numbers it was'"..."'Call us back when you receive the new scorecard and we'll keep the number you get open and delete the other from the system'"...Well, HONEY, that was over 6 weeks ago and I was supposed to get my new scorecard in 2 weeks...DIDN'T HAPPEN AND OBVIOISLY AIN'T GOING TO HAPPEN!!...i HAVE SPENT, LITERALLY, OVER 14 HOURS, INCLUDING ALL THE "HOLD" TIME,"WHILE I LOOK INTO THIS", attempting to get my points, rewards and to fix my scorecard problems. NOBODY DOES ANYTHING!!

Just yesterday, I went to my local Store Manager, not a "day-manager", BUT THE GUY WHO RUNS THE *** PLACE!! His 1st reaction was, of course, "'THAT'S NOT MY JOB'", then it was, '" I GOT 8 THINGS TO DO AROUND HERE, I DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO TAKE CARE OF THIS'"!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! NOBODY WILL HELP!!

Yeah, Yeah...I know...14 Hours on the phone, you probably think is BS, but I coach 2 sports, assist in a 3rd, my daughter plays, SO, I'VE LITERALLY SPENT THOUSANDS OF $$$$$$$$ AT ***'S, SO THAT'S A LOT OF "REWARDS" I'VE ACCUMULATED, AND NOT EVEN SHXT TO SHOW FOR IT!!! After a few well-chosen words, THE STORE MANAGER...RELUCTANTLY...went to his office and made a call???...SUPPOSEDLY, EVERYTHING WAS TAKEN CARE OF AND MY ORIGINAL SCORECARD NUMBER WAS THE ONLY ONE LEFT IN PLAY---ALL OTHERS DELETED. WELL, NEEDLESS TO SAY, NOTHING WAS DONE!!...Just logged into my account and ONE OF THE MYSTERY SCORECARD NUMBERS IS STILL IN PLAY, ACTUALLY NOW PRIMARY!!

THIS WHOLE SCORECARD OPERATION WITH ***'S IS A SCAM!!

The only reason I stay shopping there is because it's VERY close to my home and all my teams, and their quality and selection is way better than Modell's, which, to me, is a flea market... NOW STOP INSULTING US, SWEETHEART AND QUIT WITH YOUR PUNK-*** ANSWERS...IT'SS NO WONDER YOU ARE ANONYMOUS AND DON'T EVEN PUT UP A NAME. YOU'RE PROBABLY ONE OF THE DXUCHE-BAGS THAT WORKS FOR ***'S AND DOESN'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!!

I've moved since signing up for the scorecard. There's no way to change the address.

I can change the billing and shipping address on my ***'s account but not the address where my rewards go to. I've spent a lot of money there in the last few years since I moved and have yet to receive any of my rewards.

I guess they're going to my old address. :(

Yeah, you can't change your address at www.dickssportinggoods.com. Yeah it's inconvenient.

But saying there's no way to change it is ridiculous. Did you even ask anyone at the store?

They can do that at the register or you can call the ScoreCard hotline. Just call your local *** store and they'll give it to you.

Didn't you read ***?

I feel all the department store coupons are a total ripoff. I don't shop every single month for clothes and sporting goods so the 'so-called' rewards always expire before being used, specifically JC Penneys and *** Sporting Goods!!!

Guest

I think people's complaints are hilarious. I shop at *** all the time and I can't count all the items I got free off of the rewards certificates!

Almost all the coupons I get from them INCLUDE 100-300 bonus points. The 300 points is a free $100- even if I use the points when I buy a Soda!! What store gives you $10 for a soda purchase? Also, they've taken my expired certificates and my expired coupons without any hassle.

I do see the complaints on the exclusions of coupons but when I went to other sporting goods places the exclusions were the same- come to find out a lot of brands, like TaylorMade, refuse to take discounts against their products- when's the last time you got a coupon or discount off an Apple product- anywhere!!? I even worked at Best Buy and Apple didn't let us use any employee discount off their products. Same type of deal. As far as firearms go, they already have pretty good prices.

I went to my local gun shop and found the rifle I wanted for 369$, went to *** SAME EXACT ONE- $229.

Maybe the store isn't the problem, maybe you just don't know how to shop right or just want a hand out everywhere you go? It's a sporting goods place- not Nordstroms, if you think someone should spoon feed you while you shop, bring your mom.

my coupon came in after buying $500 worth of stuff. Take $10 of of $50. I was a little disappointed after reading that, but that's not hard to do,right!?!, then I read...

Excludes fire arms, ammunition, Shimano, St. Croix, G. Loomis, fishing electronics, trolling motors, outboard motors, diamond back, jansport, under armour, adidas ultimate tee, all ball gloves $160 or more, all bats $199 or more, select warrior, Brine and stx merchandise, polar electronics, The North Face, pantagonia, Nike Pro combat, LiveStrong, Af1 and Jordan, Brooks, Reebok footware, New balance 574, Ugg Austrailia, Merrel, Burton, Marmot, Spyder, Mountain hardware, Columbia, Quicksilver, Roxy, Billabong, Volcom, Babolat, Ping, Titleist, Footjoy dryjoys tour and footjoy xps-1, ecco, Sky golf, golf electronics, select new releases of callaway golf, cleveland, odyssey, cobra, taylor made and footjoy merchandise and championship merchandise. Some additional exclusions may apply.

When it was emailed to me, the expiration date was two weeks away too. Guess I can get $50 worth of soda out the cooler at the checkout. :roll

The coupon you received was promotional because you are a scorecard member. It has absolutely nothing to do with the your points balance. If you weren't a complete ***, you would be able to figure out that you can pull up reward certificates off of your phone.

Your Rewards work like straight cash for anything in the store. $10 off $50 is a normal coupon. Duh.

Guest

*** rewards is really a discount that expires. Big deal.

If they really want my business become more like REI and give real money at the checkout without a coupon.

I am going to REI and BASS.

Guest

Resetting your points under 300 every Jan 29th is stealing. That's not your prior year points, that's any points including those you earned on Jan 20th.

Guest

I am a cashier at ***'s and out of my 80-100 transactions per shift I will take in approx 10 reward certificates. We also will take them if they are expired and there are no limitations to what you can buy with them that I know of...Same with coupons, no limitations and we accept expired.

So I don't understand what some peoples problems are...we take all competitor coupons..I even got permission from my manager to accept a JC Pennys coupon.

Ive worked in other department stores and not many are that lenient. It is true that we do not have the capability to check point status at our register but I am sure that will change in the future..its pretty easy to check online at mydickssportinggoods.com
