The worst customer service I've ever witnessed!
The *** by my house is actually gigantic. They have a lot of different types of sporting equipment available and a ton of space to display it.
With that said, when I went in the other day, I couldn't find what I was looking for (they don't have any signs for each department, so you have to walk around to find the section you're looking for) Trying to find an employee was not as difficult as they actually hace a decent amount of employees just kinda walking around, however everytime I went to ask someone a question they would just walk away! I ended up finding what I was looking for by myself. EVERYTHING in *** is SO over priced! I was looking for a pool noodle and I kid you not, $80!
Taking my very over priced item to the register, they only had 1/9 check outs open and there was no one at the open register. I saw an employee at one of the non open registers and asked if anyone was checking on 1 (the one open with the light on) and the employee looked up and over to the empty register and said "yeah, probably" and continued what he was doing. I was so turned off by this! There was a line behind me!
Eventually someone came to help but this experience sat with me for a while. I felt completely invisible!
That purchase felt so terrible I ended up returning it and vowed never to go back.

Verified ReviewerCannot get a refund for something I returned to the store 2 months ago/have the return receipt on.
I have been fighting Dick's for this refund for over 2 months over a defective product that injured my son and which I returned to the store. The supposed "credit" back to my bank account was never processed despite what the receipt says. They got their crummy item...
(A rolling golf cart). Product was low quality and fell apart when my son tried to use it. We called the Dick's consumer hotline and was told to return it to the local store. I paid for it online using Paypal (linked to my debit card) and when I returned it, they pushed a supposed refund to my debit card (I have a receipt).
The refund was never processed.
I filed a complaint with Paypal about the missing refund/my bank too. My bank/Paypal went to Dick's to question the missing refund for which I have a receipt. Dick's repeatedly refused to process the refund back to Paypal or my bank because I "did not have proof of shipment back to Dicks.com." This is ludicrous, because I was told by Dicks.com customer service to return the item to the local store and process the refund that way. I returned the defective item that actually injured my son on the golf course, and I CANNOT GET A REFUND BECAUSE DICK'S IS BLOCKING PAYPAL/MY BANK FROM PROCESSING IT.
This is terrible.
I am out $109.99 and will never patronize Dick's again unless I get this refund that was supposedly processed via the attached receipt (never got funds).
Refund my money. Now. I'm a longtime (10+ year) store customer with 2 kids who also play sports. (I'm a marathon runner and have a golfer/camper/rilfeman son and a runner/camper daughter.
You're losing a lot of business from me by not processing my refund. I need this money back.

Trying to purchase horzion t101 treadmill very disapointing experience
Hi my name is Bill Jones & I was in the Melville NY location tonight. My rewards numbers is (516) 996-****. Christina is my wife, we are not one time buyers & were buying often from *** but I have to tell you tonight was not right, at the very least by ***
I came in for a light weight treadmill for our home gym & @165pounds the 101 fit the bill. There was a big sign that said "FREE DELIVERY & ASSEMBLY" which was great but I would have settled for curbside because of COVID but they were out of stock.
So than I said ok how about:
-just ship it to my house?
-ship it to the store for curbside when it gets in?
They told me either one of these options was $230 + $135 for assembly. Then they said; the sign is up just incase they come back into the store, we have no control over FEDEX pricing & the container problem & etc..
Also keep in mind the unit also does exist online still BUT you can only buy it for the NOT sale price above because *** decided they didn't want to honor the sales price anymore unit the "15th" as the sign says.
This is False advertising & bait and switch & I truly thought this was beneath the way *** does business but I guess not.
I will be call corporate tomorrow as well because at the very least they should no what is going on here. Btw a simple solution would have been to put a sign up stating "out of stock" or "currently out of stock" but that wasn't the plan here.
btw btw the Melville NY manager said he was off the other day when the last machine was sold or he would have taken the sign down.

At check out, there were two young ladies whispering and turning their backs to us. No one else was in line. We felt like we were burdening them. Finally, one of them decided to ring up our items. Her name is Essence. She ended up scanning two of my purchase items two different times. This added an extra 100.00. The next day I called the store and spoke to Nick the manager. He was very nice but told me he could not take the charges off my credit card because my scorecard wasn't used. He referred me to customer service. I called them and explained what was going on. The guy I spoke with was absolutely clueless and kept asking questions because he could not comprehend this easy processes. He then told me that I must go to a *** store to have charges reversed. Very rude personality.
By this time, I am angry and frustrated. COVID here is really bad. Regardless, I should not have to use my gas, put my health at risk because of incompetent people not knowing or wanting to do their job correctly.
This is completely unacceptable.
I called the Indy store back to speak with Nick. He went on lunch. The guy I spoke to, would speak over me and was very rude. I gave him my # And told him Nick said to call him back if I have any issues. I NEVER HEARD BACK!
I decided to chat online with a customer service rep. He was so kind, apologetic and very helpful. He took down all of my information, the receipt number, store and the items I purchased. He also verified my name, address and phone number. Now that is customer service.
Why did it take 4 attempts to have this matter noticed when my issue was at the fault of the cashier Essence? I know if I were to give our customers this kind of service, I would not have a job.
She needs to pay more attention to detail and the manager needs to make her aware of her mistake, so she can learn from it.
Store managers should resolve these issues regardless not the customer.
I am beyond disappointed. Makes me not want to shop at another *** Sporting Goods store.
I am sure the Corporate Company has higher standards and expects more.
I have not seen a credit on my card yet. The nice gentleman said it would take 7 10 business days. He also added my scorecard and requested the coupon be used.
Today I receive an email from the customer service rep that I chatted online with saying that I have to call the store again and tell the manager that he needs to take care of this problem!!! WHAT?!! Excuse me but the manager needs to call me if needed to remove the extra charges.
This is complete chaos. Why should I have to call or talk to someone with your company for the fifth time to have this matter resolved.

Don't normally shop at Dick's sporting Goods. But for the pass three months I have been collecting outdoors sport wear for me and my family at this store in Rockaway, NJ.
I normally, shop on Amazon but decided it's best to just shop at a location for a change of experience. I WILL NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE EVERY AGAIN. I am a black woman shopping with my kids and every time I step foot in this store someone is following-me even to the BATHROOM WHY????- I feel so sad and upset that I had to experience this. I only see these things on TV never as a black woman have I every written a review or being followed and in a store like this.
if the store security or Managers of the store don't like having me there , well mission accomplish!!!
I have returned some some of the things I purchase and will returned the others, now I will just continue to make Amazon richer I don't have to deal with this kind of embarrassing behavior.
I have work as a Sale person and in customer Services for more than 15 years and I love people and would never never make someone feel unworthy.
