Hello, me and my wife are in the military and we returned home from service and we saw at the *** sporting goods in queensbury New York had a sole e35 eliptical floor model on sale for $399.99 and I wanted to purchase it, I asked an employee if I could buy it now and pick it up later with my truck he said no problem and I went to the front desk to do so and when I asked the female employee the same she was extremely rude and said that's not how they do business and made a scene about it in front of other customers, instead of holding the line up I said let's walk away and come back in a couple days and talk to another employee who wouldn't treat me like that. We returned with a truck today (a few days later) and they had the sticker removed and said they would not honor the sale. I have pictures of the sale price and everything and unfortunately they were no help, so we are reaching out in hopes we can work something out, since it's the floor model we would love to purchase it, if not for $399.99 we would be happy to even pay 499.99 or 599.99 but we feel it would be fair and as a military family we would be very grateful to get help with this as we are long time *** customers, please reach out to us if you can and help with this issue.

Well when one employee says it's no problem to do something and then another employee has attitude and makes a scene when you bring up the other employee said they do in fact do that thing, yes I'd call that rude. Honestly the worker was so overweight, I imagine having to do any extra work frightened her.

Not unprovoked. The simple fix would have been for the wife to remain in-store after paying and the husband going to get the truck.

I have gone to Dick's Sporting Goods store, in Kansas City, MO. numerous times looking for a specific brand of shoes, Adidas.

I've been going to the store for 4 years searching for the Adidas 4DFWD 4 in men's and the employees in that department say they have never seen those shoes. The selection of Adidas shorts polos, socks and boxer briefs are non-existent or the quantity of the selection is ridiculously small. They pay way more attention to their Nike merchandise. I found this article online when asking why Dick's Sporting Goods stocks more inventory of Nike than Adidas.

"Dick's Sporting Goods has significantly more Nike inventory than Adidas primarily due to an "incredibly strategic" and deepened partnership with Nike, a much higher consumer demand for Nike products in the North American market, and Nike's larger overall global market share". Their stores are big enough to share their store space with all high quality brands, yet they favor Nike, which is B.S. So much for shopping locally for Adidas merchandise I need, especially in shoes. I just had my 4th back surgery, from my pelvis all the way up to my 11th thoracic vertebrae and the Adidas 4DFWD line has been the savior for my back when I'm able to get out.

Never will I shop at Dick's in hopes of finding what actually helps me through my day.

I'll go with EBay, Stock X, etc. Additionally, when they stopped selling firearm's, shotguns they proved to the community that they are Anti 2nd Amendment.

Cons:
  • Favor nike over all other hight quality shoes tennis running etc

Preferred solution: Adidas 4DFWD 4 and the other lines of 3D printed soles that Adidas makes.

I ordered Hokas from Dick's online, received the order 2 days ago, went for a run, had to turn back, wrong size. Dick's would not return.

I will never shop at Dick's; I'll take my money elsewhere.

They told me to call Hoka. I said I bought them from Dick's, but regardless, Cody, the manager, is beyond rude.

My prior requests for a formal apology, internal investigation, and a financial resolution of $75,000 have been ignored.

This letter serves as final notice.

I request the following by June 20, 2025:

1. A formal written apology.

2. Confirmation that a full internal investigation has been conducted.

3. A financial settlement of $75,000 for emotional distress and discriminatory treatment.

If I do not receive a response by this deadline, I will proceed with: Filing complaints with the Texas Workforce Commission Civil Rights Division and the EEOC. Seeking legal counsel to pursue civil remedies. Engaging public advocacy and media outlets to raise awareness about this incident and your companys failure to address it.

Please consider this your final opportunity to resolve this matter directly. I look forward to hearing from you.

No box for bran new shows

I recently bought a pair of brand-new shoes from *** Sporting Goods. Since the store didnt have my size in stock, the sales representative ordered them for me directly. At no point was I told that the shoes would arrive without the original box.

When they were delivered, I was shocked to find the shoes loosely packed without the manufacturers original packaging. For a brand-new item, this is completely unacceptable especially from a large retailer like *** The box isnt just packaging; its part of the product presentation, protection, and resale value. If I wanted shoes without a box, I wouldve bought them from a discount site or outlet.

To make matters worse, I reached out to their customer support line, and they were absolutely unhelpful. After explaining the situation, all they offered me was 30 *** ScoreCard points which amounts to barely anything in terms of compensation. It felt like a brush-off.

This whole experience makes me question the quality and transparency of *** Sporting Goods. If youre paying full price for a product, the expectation is to receive it in new condition and that includes all original packaging. The lack of disclosure and poor customer service is unacceptable. I wont be shopping here again anytime soon.

Dear Dick's Sporting Goods Customer Service Team,

On the afternoon of January 5, 2025, I visited the store as a delivery driver to purchase Nike Youth Vapor Jet 8.0 Football Gloves in black for a customer. When I requested assistance from store associate Terry, he was unhelpful and refused to verify the item using my phone.

He also failed to call a supervisor or another associate to assist me.

I observed Terry providing assistance to other customers of a different race, taking their phones to verify their request, and offering more attention and help. In contrast, he was dismissive and unhelpful towards me.

Although I was able to purchase the gloves in white, this was not the desired color. I was unable to determine if the black color was available due to Terry's lack of assistance.

I have attached photos documenting Terry's differential treatment of customers.

I also made a verbal complaint to Manager Lorena.

I request that my concern be addressed immediately. A simple apology is insufficient; I expect a more substantial resolution to this incident.

I think they work for Doordash or Instacart that delivers for Dick’s. She sounds like she wanted everyone to drop what they were doing to help her.

She should realize customers in store come first. I’ve sent both services a DM and info on this post.

It should not be hard to pinpoint the location, date and white glove purchase to ID the delivery person. Not a good look for the delivery company to have a driver make this claim and video store staff.
